JURISDICTION AT SEA AND THE PROTECTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS

An open conference gathering academics and practitioners from around the world, which will provide a turning point for scholarship on human rights at sea and is ultimately meant to trigger debate among national and European law-makers.

The open conference on jurisdiction at sea and protection of human rights will have an holistic approach, aiming to juxtapose (advanced) theory and practice on human rights at sea. The conference will bring together academics and practitioners interested in the protection of human rights at sea. Speakers will include the members of the staff of the project as well as other invited speakers coming from different European institutions and holding different positions in national and civil society organisations.
